I took this picture over the weekend to show you this beautiful basket our friend Sheila made. She added a button Jeff made in scotchbroom (an invasive species here) with a carved tree. I snapped some pictures in front of the window, near her booth.
If you come to the Holiday Market, you can find Sheila’s booth of gorgeous baskets in the Holiday Hall.
I have a backpack basket she made that I cherish, I never leave the house without it.
These are the only market pictures I took this past weekend. Holiday Hall is one room in the building that has natural light and it’s much easier to take pictures there.
The three of us were so exhausted yesterday after our long market weekend and surrendered to much needed naps. We were all whole new people afterwards and freshly inspired to begin making again. We headed out to the shop to choose wood to work with this week. It’s hard to narrow it down because there’s so many beautiful pieces to choose from. We created a new wood display piece for the front of our booth while we were out there and we love it! It will go next to our magnet board and will be for displaying our wool creations.
Last night it was stormy here and our electricity went out. We went to town this morning and when we got back home we saw the lights back on when we drove up the driveway. We cheered. We have a lot in the works this week. Each week between market weekends, we focus on a few “sections” of the booth to fill up. Last week Jeff carved tree pendants, made new magnets, and a few new necklaces. I made new things in wool, put more buttons on cards (that were already made), and made a big batch of Magical Healing Salve and Blissful Baby Balm. This week Jeff is focusing on making buttons, earrings, and carving some more magnets. I’m focusing on drawing more inspirational magnets (for him to carve), creating more in wool, and putting more buttons on cards. Our hands are busy making. We like having busy hands.
