-Happening to go by the thrift store during their 50% off clothing sale and getting a bunch of wool sweaters for more creating.Yippee!
.
-My body communicating with me- loud and clear- about what foods it likes and doesn’t like. I’m grateful that I listen to (and honor) the messages more and more.
.
-Crisp, farmer’s market apples cold from the fridge. I really like crisp apples.
.
-Finding one last calendula flower blooming in the garden when I wanted one to take new pictures of some herbal products. That was a sweet little surprise.
.
-Bracken and I having an adventure to the laundromat while Jeff got work done at home. Bracken thought all the swirling washers and dryers were fascinating and we got all our thrift store sweaters felted in one go.
.
-Loving the feeling of fresh clean sheets on our bed.
.
-Surprising Jeff with a smoothie from town and seeing his excitement and glee when I handed it to him. He is pretty easy to please, that guy.
.
-Laughing hysterically when I realized why our breakfast tasted so salty. {Jeff hadn’t salted it and we were puzzled. Then I remembered the leftovers that Bracken had dumped (a lot of) salt on (when I had turned my head for a moment.) I had meant to throw them out, but forgot. Then Jeff saw the leftovers sitting out, put them in the fridge, and added them to our breakfast the next morning. Mystery solved and made for some good laughs.}
.
-Talking to a dear friend I hadn’t spoken to in years and getting to hear her voice and her familiar, comforting laugh.
.
-A break in the rain, just long enough to get pictures of some new buttons (and then it started pouring again.)
.
-Listening to the rain outside, with my boys asleep next to me, while I wrote my gratitudes.
.
-Some quiet moments at the end of the day to focus and figure out my knitting pattern. I couldn’t find anything of help in my knitting book, so played around. I had to undo some mistakes, but once I figured it out all on my own, I felt so completely satisfied and elated!
.
-Waking up a little before Bracken one morning and reading until he woke up. That was a nice treat.
.
-Thinking of my gratitudes and feeling my complaints feel less heavy and my worries lighten.
.
-Working really hard and feeling proud of that work. Working hard is extremely satisfying.
