-Bracken’s artwork up on the fridge. We all love it there and he proudly points to it on a regular basis. (And rearranges it.)
.
-Bracken sitting in my lap while we watched great music on the market stage. (Earlier that day there were children dancing that brought tears to my eyes, it was so beautiful.)
.
-A rough car ride being over and that most of the time our little pumpkin doesn’t mind the car so much.
.
-The way my whole body relaxes like a deep sigh, when we’re home again from a long market weekend.
.
-Feeling so energized, inspired, and excited in the workshop with Jeff and Bracken, choosing woods. There are so many gorgeous woods, Jeff and I wish we could create faster!
.
-Bracken humming a little song while he nursed. I wouldn’t have known that you can sing and nurse at the same time, but indeed you can.
.
-Jeff making us a gourmet breakfast (on the propane stove since the power was out.)
.
-Treasure hunting at the thrift store (while power out at home, thus feeling we had time to do so) and finding some things we needed for such incredible deals.
.
-Getting a headset for our phone, making it so much easier to get things done while I chat. We’ve been without one for awhile, making us appreciate it more.
.
-When Bracken was happy and content on my back in the Ergo so I could get things done around the house. He does plenty of running around too, but those times in the Ergo make it much easier to accomplish things.
.
-Doing dishes at the kitchen sink, while listening to the rain outside and Jack Johnson Holiday Radio on Pandora (which I found out about thanks to one of your Gratitude Sunday posts from last week.)
.
-Being humbly reminded to count our blessings, as several of our friends are going through heartbreak and major challenges right now. It puts things in perspective when I feel like complaining about things that suddenly don’t seem worth complaining about.
.
-Homemade soup full of warmth and nourishment. Chicken broth, chicken, celery, carrots, and seaweed. It was so delicious and comforting that night.
.
-Broth started, compost dumped, laundry hung….. and all the other daily things that I get to cross off my to do list with satisfaction.
.
-Jeff waking me up so sweetly and gently on market mornings, since he gets up before we do. I couldn’t imagine a better way to be woken up.
.
-Real food from local farms. Loving the colorful fresh produce that is plentiful at the farmer’s market each weekend.
.
-That our booth was fine and that no major damage was done to any other booths at the Holiday Market since the building had been broken into. It could have been much worse.
.
-How much of a difference simply a few kind words can make in your day.
.
-Bits of sunshine that poke through the clouds and make all the raindrops sparkle like a magical scene.
