Here we are on the last market day. Bracken fell asleep on me in the Ergo for a little nap. (I savor holding him in my arms every time that happens.) There’s something really fun about the last market day. There is a buzz throughout the place. People are somewhat giddy, knowing their much-needed break is near. Last minute trades happen. Goodbyes are said for the winter, until market starts up again in April.
This year we felt grateful for our “bread and butter” items- mostly earrings and magnets- that pay the bills. And of course we felt grateful for all our wonderful customers. We’re saving all the market money we can this year to go towards a new vehicle.
As we packed up all our market stuff on the last day, it didn’t look like we were going to be able to fit it all in the rental van we’re currently driving. We didn’t want to make two trips for it all. We wanted to be done and to be home. Luckily Jeff got really creative and fit it all together like a puzzle. We fit it all! We were so happy. We drove home on Christmas Eve, looking at Christmas lights along the drive.
Jeff said for Christmas, he wanted “relaxation.” And we had just that. Our day was so wonderful.
Now we have three months off of market. We’re looking forward to getting caught up on wholesale orders, custom orders, and focusing lots of attention on our Etsy Shops.

Thinking of you all, hoping you’ve been having a joyful holiday season, in whichever way you celebrate this time of year.
