Exciting news: I finished knitting Jeff’s socks!! I asked him to be a sock model for me today. 

 

Yesterday morning I stuck his finished socks in the washing machine and then hung them by the fire to dry. (As you can see, I still need to pick some lint off them from the washing machine.) They shrunk just a little and fit him great! They’re a little roomy, but he’s happy with them. 

Knitting socks was a great learning experience for me. And it felt really satisfying to finish them. Jeff is really pleased that I can knit socks now because he knows there will be many more handknit socks in his future. And good socks are one of his favorite things in the world.
