-Writing some thank you cards I had been meaning to write for awhile.
.
-Trying new things.
.
-My sister calling with the good news saying she got the position at work she wanted. Congrats Sam!
.
-Making a batch of grain-free applesauce elderberry muffins that turned out great! (I plan on sharing the recipe with you when I test out and tweak my experiment a few more times.)
.
-Brand new sheets on our bed! Thankful for the gift certificate I bought them with too.
.
-Happening to look out the window and seeing that a light in our car was left on so we were able to get it turned off.
.
-How freeing it can be to step out of my comfort zone a little.
.
-Our family getting firewood and gathering kindling outside. We had a lot of fun together. (In between Bracken helping put the sticks in piles, he sang us songs into his “hand microphone.”)
.
-Giving Bracken wheelbarrow rides around the front yard.
.
-The smell of sap in the firewood as we brought it in the house. It made me stop everything to inhale the sweet scent.
.
-The good feeling of sore muscles after exercise.
.
-A rough day ending on a better note.
.
-Our truck being towed out of our driveway.
.
-Going outside and looking at the stars on a cold winter night. The sky was so clear and the stars were so bright.
.
-Some time for me to regenerate while Bracken took a nap.
.
-Butternut squash warm from the oven. Delicious, comforting food this time of year.
.
-A few moments barefoot in the winter sun. So refreshing!
.
-Playing with dear friends at the park, in warm gorgeous weather, and Bracken going on a swing for the first time. (He loved it!)
.
-Spending time with my dad yesterday and going to the beach. The weather was simply amazing.
