Yesterday we went on a little firewood-gettin’ adventure with our neighbor, to clear some fallen logs and stumps from his grandpa’s place. Our woodshed could certainly use the filling up and the day was sunny and beautiful. It felt great to be outside in it.
Whenever the chainsaw stopped while firewood was being hauled, I let Bracken down to play. He took handfuls of sawdust and threw it into the air like confetti.
(Before the stumps were cut.)
Sharing handfuls with me.
I’ve never seen anyone have so much fun with sawdust before. It was great.
.
And now we’ve got more wood to keep us warm this winter. That is a very good thing.
