Joining Ginny’s Yarn Along, sharing what I’m knitting and reading.
.
Bracken’s Milo vest is finished! We had a long car ride yesterday and I knitted all the way to the hem. After Bracken fell asleep last night, I finished the hem and bound off. I stayed up a little past my bedtime (which is very rare for me to do) and it was so worth it to be able to surprise him this morning with a finished vest. It’s big on him, but that means he’ll be able to get more use out of it. I was going to make the vest longer, but was running out of yarn. (Below is how much yarn I had left, it worked out perfect.) We went out in the rain to get pictures today of Bracken wearing his new vest. He wasn’t much into being a model today, but I managed to get a few pictures.
The yarn was a gift from a blog reader in Canada. It’s 70% Merino and 30% Silk. It was a joy to work with and the blue colorway is wonderful on Bracken blue eyes. (Ravelry notes here.)
Still reading ‘The Answer Is Simple’ from last week.
What was left.
You can see the rain drops in front of his face in this picture.
Love his eyes in this one.
Handsome.
There’s the silly boy I know.

My first vest is completed. I’m sure I’ll be knitting many more in my future.
