-Baking muffins. Love baking day!
.
-Showing Bracken the green shoots coming up (that will soon be daffodils) and then later seeing him walk over to them with his watering can in hand and watering them. It filled my heart. A natural gardener like his dada.
.
-Getting a little better at not taking things personally when things are said that hurt my feelings. As one of my favorite authors says: “It’s none of my business what other people think about me.”
.
-Story time before bed.
.
-A long stretch outside, watching Bracken completely immersed in what he was doing. He was in the present moment so fully, I loved watching him.
.
-How loving and understanding my mom is. She doesn’t judge, she just supports and encourages. On days I feel exhausted and “off”, she can make me laugh and lighten it all with her kind words filled with mother love.
.
-Feeling transported to spring for a few moments while the weather was so nice, the birds were singing, and the sun felt so warm.
.
-Seeing wildlife on our drive: a raccoon, a hawk, and a bunch of geese. So many geese landing in a field all at once was so beautiful and majestic.
.
-Winning the lottery! …Well, $35 that is, but Jeff was so excited about it!
.
-Cleaning up my craft space. Much much better. Then I was able to spend some time in there working on a project while Bracken played (before I didn’t bring him there, it was too messy.) Having that creative time made me more patient and relaxed the rest of the day.
.
-Seeing Bracken’s little arm wrapped over his dada’s while they were sleeping next to each other. So sweet.
.
-Washing our car and vacuuming it out on a sunny day. That felt so good to do.
.
-Jeff making us a special, gourmet meal for Valentine’s Day with wild alaskan salmon and lobster. A very rare treat. My goodness, what a feast.
.
-Turning 6 cabbages into sauerkraut fermenting in a crock in the kitchen.
