Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Starting the day with elderberry tea.
.
.
-Eating our homegrown kale all week long (and sometimes twice a day.) It felt so good to not have to buy greens from the store, but to get them from our own garden.
.
-Productive mornings that start days the right way.

.
-Time outside and lots of changes around our place.
.
-Being able to (just barely) fit a wooden bookshelf (that we got for a great deal secondhand) in the back of our car. I was so happy to bring it home and get things organized in it, the space really needed it.
.
-Talking and dreaming about everything we want to grow in the garden. This time of year always feels so full of possibilities for the growing season ahead.
.
-Weeds being so much easier to pull in the garden this time of year with all the rainfall (and getting the garlic bed weeded.)

.
-Bracken picking flowers and bringing them to Jeff and I. What a sweetheart.
.
-Being exhausted in a good way. After a day of working hard, laying in bed exhausted is a good feeling.
.
-5 blueberries planted in the ground!! (!!)
.
-Every time Bracken fell asleep on me and I got to snuggle him in my arms.
.
-Days with work done around the house, work done around the yard, and work done for the business. Those days are the best!
.
-Finding Bracken’s missing shoe! We searched high and low and finally found it in an obvious spot, of course.
.
-Our sauerkraut being ready to eat! We waited while it fermented in the crock and it was a happy moment when we discovered it was done to perfection.
