-Jeff making dinner (it was gourmet too!) so I could finish my blog post when I was “in the zone” of writing, even though he had just come in from working outside for hours and was exhausted.
.
.
-Jeff hanging up a swing for Bracken in the living room. At first I wasn’t crazy about the idea, but after seeing all the fun being had I quickly changed my mind.
.
-A good dose of laughter to end the day on the right note.
.
-The morning routine of going out to the garden with Bracken to gather ingredients for breakfast. We each have our colanders in hand and it’s something we really enjoy doing together.
.
-Moving my body and feeling areas of tightness loosen up.
.
-Baths with a few drops of patchouli essential oil. (I love the smell of patchouli!)
.
-Every time I stopped what I was doing and remembered to drink some water.
.
-Cleaning out a basket of clutter near the kitchen that had (admittedly) accumulated over years.
.
-Surprising Jeff with a clean kitchen (that had been really messy from all our egg dyeing before he headed out to his shop.)
.
-My sister calling me at just the right time- a rare few moments with the house to myself while the boys were in the garden- so we could chat while I cleaned.
.
-The muffins I made still being edible after my blooper. Jeff and I looked at each other wondering why they tasted funny and then I realized I had accidentally put 1 tablespoon of salt instead of 1 teaspoon, whoops.
.
-The way Bracken says the word water. It sounds like “wah-wee”, and every time he comes over to me asking for more “wah-wee” in his outdoor play area to pour with- I think it’s so precious.
.
-Jeff fixing the clothesline out back so I could hang clothes to dry outside in all the sunshine yesterday. It was so great to hang clothes outside again.
