Those itty bitty socks turned out not to be so teeny after all! As I was knitting one sock during a car ride, Bracken was in his car seat next to me and removed his shoes and socks and pointed to the sock I was making, wanting to try it on. I was decreasing on the toe and thought why not? So we tried it on him and it fit! He was so happy! And so was I! The pattern was really easy to follow and these little socks were a pretty quick knit. (The pattern is called Super Quick Baby Socks after all!) The pattern has one size and since it said “baby socks”, I didn’t think they’d be big enough for a toddler, but they fit mr.two year old great! This was the perfect project to use up some leftover yarn.
Bracken seems pleased with his little merino wool socks. He was very helpful to hold his pants up so I could take some pictures. Ready to see a bunch of little handknit sock pictures? I wanted to be sure I got some non-blurry photos (while Bracken was dancing a little jig), plus I haven’t made very many socks so I was feeling pretty proud of these!
Now I’m heading out to pick my mom up from the airport.
Happy First Day of Spring Everybody!
