When Bracken was just a little thing (well, little-r than now, that is) we received a package in the mail from a dear blog reader. She had knit a wool sweater for her son, but it didn’t fit so she passed it along to Bracken. I marveled at it- the beautiful cabling up the front and loved the feel of the wool. I was so touched and couldn’t wait until Bracken could fit in it! And now, he does. It’s been awhile and I believe the generous knitter’s name was Amanda from Washington. (I feel bad I don’t remember for sure.) I wrote her a thank you and now wanted her to see her lovely sweater actually being worn. If you are still reading this blog, dear generous knitter, please know that your thoughtful gift is being appreciated!
On Monday I took these pictures of Bracken right after he woke up from his nap (little sleepy head eating an apple.) You can see the sleep lines on the side of his face in some of the pictures. I didn’t button up the buttons on the back (why it’s sticking out in the back a little, which I noticed after looking at the pictures.)
Starting to wake up.
A new favorite picture of Bracken!
Bracken loves his cozy sweater!
This morning, after a busy and productive start inside, Bracken and I needed a breather. We went outside and immediately he started chasing butterflies around the yard. There have been so many of these white butterflies around our place lately. (Jeff said they are cabbage butterflies, which eat the cole crops in our garden, so we’re not exactly happy to see them, but Bracken really loves them.) I took a short video with our little camera of Bracken chasing one of them around and it was so cute. I just uploaded the video on YouTube and you can watch it here.
