Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Bright white camellias blooming by the front door.
.
-The crystal in the window that makes rainbows all over the room when the sun shines in. Bracken loves it.

.
-Canned peaches for dessert. They’re so good when they are eaten cold right out of the fridge.
.
-The sweet surprise of finding ‘I Love You’ written on my gratitude notebook from Jeff.
.
-Sun Tea.
.
-A few moments of quiet to sit in the sun barefoot and just breathe.
.
-Harvesting the first nettles of the season.
.
-Loving the way fresh watercress from the backyard tastes in our salads. (I didn’t used to like watercress much, but my tastebuds have adapted to real foods over the years and now I love it.)
.
-Jeff helping me figure out formatting stuff when I was stuck and frustrated.
.
-Eating lunch outside in the sunshine for the first time this season.
.
-Bracken catching a butterfly in the garden.
.
-Starting a new tradition of lighting a candle during our meals. (Inspired by Simplicity Parenting.)
.
-Rainy day to get caught up inside.
.
-Getting back into the habit of making beet kvass regularly. My body loves it and our whole family drinks it up so fast.
.
-Eating and appreciating the very last of our fermented pickles. We savored them and I’m amazed we made them last that long.
.
-Waking up to the sound of birds singing, even in the pouring rain.
.
-Jeff making me laugh when I was disappointed about losing something.
.
-A big breathe at the end of a long, challenging day- knowing a fresh start can be had in the morning.
.
-A fun dream last night about living on a tropical island and working with sea turtles.
