Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
-Discovering that the purple irises in our yard have the most incredible perfume. I never knew they had a scent, but Bracken showed me. He smells all the flowers around here and informs us when they smell good.
.
-Bringing Bracken’s pool out in the yard for the first time this season. That boy loves his pool.
.
-Open windows. Breezes. Birds singing.
.
-Jeff finding a bird’s nest on the ground and coming and showing it to us.
.
-Cold herbal tea on a hot day.
.
-Putting up some more fencing by the coop and clearing an area in their yard, which really opened things up. It’s looking better all the time.

.
-Feeding the chicks the grubs in the garden that eat our vegetables. Every time we find one now, we know just where to bring it.
.
-Seeing the little spearmint plant from last year as a huge plant this year, and getting it in the ground.
.
-Evenings together in the garden. Really good family time that’s so good for our spirits.
.
-Jeff going out first things and harvesting nettles for our breakfast. Then having a meal with nettles and liver, two incredibly nourishing foods.
.
-A bath with some Lavender Orange Bath Salts I made (which will be in our shop soon.)
.
-Beautiful cabbage from the farmer’s market. We’ve been waiting ever so patiently for the local cabbage to be ready, since we were in dire need of more sauerkraut in our household.
.
-A fun market day yesterday, with the surprise of good weather (which wasn’t in the forecast.)
.
-Friends, friendly faces, connection, community.
.
-Getting something mailed out to my mom in time for Mother’s Day. I was a little last minute this year. Happy Mother’s Day Mom, I love you so much!
