-Clover blooming in the yard.
.
-Having a blast drawing a bunch of new magnets during Bracken’s nap.
.
-Broccoli with breakfast. Morel mushrooms with our scrambled eggs. Raw garlic on everything.
.
-Coming downstairs to see that Jeff washed the kitchen floors! He knows how to make his wife really happy. (Once upon a time I washed them all the time and since becoming a mama it hardly ever gets done. Jeff knew it would delight me.)
.
-Extra incentive to do -more than the usual- cleaning with guests coming.
.
-Getting to see Jeff’s daughter, Bree, and her husband Abe. It was sad circumstances that they were visiting (her brother passed away) but it was such a gift to see them.
.
-Walking in at just the right moment. (I was doing dishes with Bracken in the kitchen with me. He went in the other room for a moment and it was quiet. I had a feeling to check and saw him holding a bottle of castille soap with the lid off, about to pour some soap in his hands, which would have meant a huge mess on the floor. I was able to put the lid back on and help him get a small amount of soap. Phew. Big mess averted.)
.
-Eating soup on a rainy night.
.
-Buying avocados at the store (after a long stretch without.) After having an avocado conversation with my sister, I was craving them.
.
-A cozy evening together as a family. (Made even more cozy with a storm outside.)
.
-Dreams with important reminders: to reconnect with what serves my spirit and to disconnect from what doesn’t. To embrace the lighthearted, fresh energies and to let go of the heavy, dead-end habits.
.
-Bracken and I changing our bedtime routine by adding a few new books each night (and rotating them), along with our “regulars.”
.
-Finding our thermos. At one point we bought a nice thermos and it disappeared. I’m happy it’s back in use.
.
-Bracken being extra affectionate with us lately and having moments of being completely overwhelmed by his preciousness.
.
-Getting to meet Steve at market (whose daughter reads this blog), visiting from Minnesota. What a fun guy to meet. (Happy Birthday Ann!)
.
-Trading for vegetables at farmer’s market. And though I’ve said this many times, we’re so grateful to our friends for that.
.
-Beautiful weather at market yesterday (a surprise) and having the first raindrops start falling as we drove home. Good timing.
