…Knitting…
In Progress: I found the cutest toddler sock pattern here on Ravelry (baby sizes available also.) It’s my very first colorwork project! I’ve been into smaller, instant gratification knitting projects lately (plus they require less yarn) and these socks are just the thing for me to be knitting right now. I just finished turning the heel on the first pair. Yesterday Jeff came along with Bracken and I to Eugene and dropped us off at our Waldorf class while he ran errands. When we got in the car, all I had done was the ribbing around the top and by the time we got home, I’d turned the heel. I was so grateful that Jeff drove and I was able to get some knitting progress made.
I had some leftover merino wool yarn from Brambleberry Yarns that I am using for the ribbing around the top, the heel, and the toe. The rest is that grey handspun alpaca I used to make the baby booties from last week. The merino and alpaca are both so soft and go really well together.
(Bracken’s Pitter Patter Socks posted on Ravelry here.)
Finished: The alpaca baby booties from last week’s YarnAlong. They’re so soft, squishy, and cozy.

…Reading…
Still reading my gardening book, slowly but surely.

P.S. This doesn’t have to do with knitting or reading, but I wanted to show a peek at the handwork projects we’ve been working on in our Waldorf class. I snapped a picture of our works in progress yesterday. I love all the different variations for the spring dolls, there are ladybugs, honeybees, and all sorts of flowers. I’m planning on taking more pictures when they are finished.
I love this little doll’s flower cap!
