-Our fuchsia bushes absolutely buzzing with hummingbirds whizzing all around. They’re acting like they are having a party and we love to watch them.
.
-Delicious smells coming from the kitchen.
.
-A skype date with Aunt Sam and making silly faces in the camera. Bracken did some dancing for her as well.
.
-Farm fresh cilantro on our meal.
.
-Getting the dishes done before bed so I could start the next day without a sink full of dishes.
.
-Some good things happening when I asked for them.
.
-Bringing more kitchen bits and garden weeds to the chickens as they grow.
.
-How hard Jeff works for our family every day.
.
-Strawberries for dessert. (Not ours, yet, they’re still green. Delicious ones from a local farm.)
.
-Spending time in the chicken coop when it was pouring outside.
.
–Dried anchovies. A new (to us), nourishing food we are all enjoying.
.
-Fresh pressed juice with cucumber, carrots, nettles, beet, and an apple. Mmm.
.
-Making a simple dinner with scrambled eggs and zucchini. A hit every time.
.
-Jeff turning off his lamp and reading by a smaller light when I was ready to go to sleep.
.
-Being able to live peacefully with the bees that made a nest in our chicken coop and in Jeff’s shop. Thankful they’ve been fine with our presence near their homes and that they’ve been busy in our garden.
.
-Bracken finding some wild salmon berries in the yard to eat. (Helps until the other fruits ripen.)
.
-Clearing off the bulletin board in the kitchen. A little less clutter is wonderful.
.
-The smell of lemonbalm in the garden, as I pulled weeds. (And getting a good workout from squatting for so long, since the ground was wet and I didn’t want to sit.)
.
-Waking up to SUNSHINE!
.
-Sitting on the warm earth.
.
-A market day with beautiful weather.
.
-Being home again.
