…Joining Ginny’s YarnAlong, sharing what I’m knitting and reading…
.
I cast on a slipper sole for Bracken, then realized I made a mistake and ripped it out. Then I finished the first sole in the 18-24 month size and decided I’d rather go up a size so he could wear them longer. Now I’m knitting the first sole in the 3T size. The pattern is Simple Slippers by Elizabeth Murphy, of The Sitting Tree. I made these slippers for Jeff (and wrote about the wonderful yarn there too) and am excited to be making them for Bracken in a different color combination. I’ll let you wait and see the other color I’m pairing with the blue next week. I’m thinking of saving these slippers to give to Bracken for his birthday in October. We’ll see.
Today it’s cloudy and chilly out. I took this picture of my knitting during Bracken’s nap. The background is a quilt that my grandmother made. I love everything she makes.
