…Knitting…
I finished the pitter patter socks for Bracken! Every free moment I had in our booth on Saturday, you could find me knitting. And during the drive, of course. Today I weaved in all the ends right before taking pictures. That’s one thing about color-work, there are a lot more ends to weave in. The weather here went from cold and pouring rain to sunny and really hot in a matter of days. Early this morning it was already hot outside and I didn’t think Bracken would want to try on these wool and alpaca socks, but he actually did. They are a little big on him right now, but with this weather he won’t need them for quite some time. And when he does, they’ll probably fit by then. (Below are some pictures of him wearing them.)
I’m quite proud of these little socks and I would recommend the pattern. My only frustration was that I had some gaps in the heels. I’m still new to knitting socks and I have lots to learn.
…Reading…
I wanted something light and inspiring to balance all the “learning reading” I’ve been doing lately and give my brain a little break from absorbing so much information. This book called out from my bookshelf and I just started reading it again. (I’ve read it more than once.) Each page in ‘Vitamins For The Soul’ has an inspirational reminder. It’s meant to be read as a page a day, but I tend to read more at a time.
How about you? Knitting? Reading?
