…Knitting…
I’m knitting a hat for Bracken. I’m calling it: Bracken’s Woodland Moss Pixie Hat. It’s the first hat I’ve ever knit that’s flat and then stitched up the back (rather than in the round.) The pattern is by SweetKM and you can see it here on Etsy or here on Ravelry. Is that pixie style cute or what?! You can see why I love it so much. The pattern has been really easy to follow so far. The yarn I’m using is from Luna Grey Fiber Arts. The colorway is called ‘Moss’ (one of my very favorite colors, as I’m sure you can tell from the prevalence of that color on this blog.) The wool yarn is nice and squishy and enjoyable to knit with.
…Reading…
I’m making progress faster than I thought I would, reading ‘You Are Your Child’s First Teacher.’ It has so many valuable tidbits that I’m finding helpful and I’m so grateful for the suggestions to read it. (Thank you!)
I told Jeff that while reading it, I’ve been having a lot of “aha” moments and some understanding has been clicking for me, like puzzle pieces going into place. I’m appreciating learning more about Waldorf and Steiner’s insights. Right now I’m at the part about creating rhythms: daily, weekly, and yearly.
P.S. I want to knit some socks for Jeff and have had a few suggestions for patterns. What are your favorite sock patterns? Any suggestions? (I’ll be using worsted weight yarn.)
How about you? Knitting? Reading?
