-Tiny chamomile flowers and handfuls in our sun teas.
.
-Finding two snake skins in the garden. How cool! I’ve only seen a few in my life and it felt special to find those.
.
-Packages mailed out. Bills paid. To-Do Lists crossed off.
.
-Major organizing accomplished in Jeff’s shop. I loved helping organize the wood on the shelves Jeff put up and Bracken had a blast running the “ShopVac” for a few moments to clean up the sawdust.
.
-The three of us near each other, all busy with our own tasks in the yard. (Jeff planting, me digging, Bracken pouring water.)
.
-Cleaning up. Then smiling every time I walked in our bathroom (rather than getting in a bad mood.) Can mopping floors and scrubbing toilets bring happiness? Absolutely!
.
-Getting the lettuce ready (washing it and breaking it in bite size pieces) for lunchtime in the mornings. It made it so much easier when lunchtime rolled around.
.
-Bracken helping me harvest (and thin) the baby kale to put in our breakfast. He had his own colander, but was especially excited to have his very own (blunt edge) scissors.
.
-Buying a new package of socks for each of us. Every pair I owned has holes in them and Jeff’s probably did too. It’s nice to have new socks.
.
-Steamed beets. So simple and so delicious.
.
-Going to the grocery store with the kid’s cars attached to the front of the shopping cart. Bracken asked to ride it in and had a blast “steering” around the store while we got our groceries. He thought it was the funnest thing.
.
-Little guy being content playing in his sandbox while I hung the laundry on the line.
.
-The times when Jeff and Bracken had a little bit of time just the two of them in the garden (and I had a little bit of time just to myself to get things done in the house.) It’s such a good thing for all of us.
