-Ecchinacea just starting to bloom in the garden. It didn’t seem to be doing much last year, but this year it came back and is flourishing and we’re so glad.

-Open windows and the sound of birds singing and wind rustling through the leaves.

-Jeff asking for help from a few of our neighbors (with bigger chainsaws) and paying them to cut up some logs down below for firewood. It got done fast and helped a lot!

-Feeling more motivated to weed in the garden, since I can feed the weeds to the chickens.

-Homegrown broccoli in our breakfast.
.
-Healing rays of the sun energizing me and infusing me with happiness.

-Finding a chef’s hat for Jeff in the little town of Florence at the end of the day, on a hunch, right before the store closed. It sure made a fun addition to this post.

-Coming across an antique shop we’d never seen before, with so many wonderful things. We got a few things for Bracken that Jeff is fixing up.

-The fact that it cools down at night in these mountains (to help balance the really hot days.)
.
-Making up songs and singing them around the house.(And living in a space where I can feel so comfortable doing so.)

-Awesome new roosts in the coop for the gals, made by Jeff. Then watching them enjoy them so much.

-Celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. Jeff and I have been in each others’ lives for 8 years now and I’m grateful for him every day.

-New (much needed) summer t-shirts from the thrift store for a few bucks.

-That not too many clothes got ruined when my new thrift store tee (in brown) dyed an entire load of laundry pink.(?)

-A long time spent watering the garden, with my bare feet on the earth, and the sun on my skin.

-Bracken helping me let out the chickens, harvest in the garden, water the garden, peel garlic, pour laundry detergent in the washing machine and so many other things. All day he is by my side, wanting to help with everything, no matter how small.

-Breakfast outside. Great inspiration by Jeff. Sun shining on us, warm (but not too hot yet), just beautiful out.
