You may remember when Twysted Thystle was first introduced here, in this post. Well, Deb and Heather have been very busy since then, adding all kinds of awesome new products to their website. Deb has been whipping up new herbal products and Heather has been creating more beautiful artwork for the labels. I’ve been delighted to see all the good things they’ve been creating and ordered some of their all natural deodorant scented with patchouli (Power to the People Pit Stick.) I had not worn deodorant in a long time because I didn’t like the ingredients. I love the smell of the patchouli and it works great. Yes, an all natural deodorant that really works! Jeff loves it too (and Bracken likes to have a dab under each arm when he sees us put some on.)

Deb: I drink my herbal teas every day. Right now I am on a Beautiful Bones kick because I have been having some health issues and I feel the best way to help them is to gently nourish my body. I have been mixing it with comfrey leaf and been seeing improvements daily. And then there are the Pit Sticks all-natural and organic deodorants. I am in love with these. I currently have two available: Power to the People which is made with pure patchouli essential oil and we have Keep the Peace which is made with lavender, tea tree, and bergamot essential oils. Both are totally natural, organic, and made with simple nourishing ingredients. Before I formulated the Pit Sticks, I had never used deodorants because I had serious sensitivity issues with them. Even the natural ones irritated my skin. I finally narrowed it down to the baking soda that was in most natural deodorants that was causing redness, itching and crazy irritation. My formulas are totally baking soda free and also totally free from all the other junk out there, such as propylene glycol, aluminum chloride, phthalates, parabens, talc, borax, synthetic preservatives, and synthetic fragrances. They are gentle on the skin and powerful on the stink. What else could be better? Anyway, we love them!! (and they work!!)

Deb: I am super excited about my newest summer product called MUD. It is a bug bite and poison ivy/oak itch relieving cream consisting of all natural clay, 100% pure essential oils, and a few other natural goodies. The best part about it is that it works so well!! We use it on the whole family whenever we get anything bitey or itchy, and the kids happily ask for it when they need it because they know it will bring relief. Every now and then I get really excited about a product, and this is one of them. Heather is currently working on an awesome new label as I write this and it should be available in the coming week. Until then, it is available on our website with a generic label. 

Deb: I love that the products that I make actually help people with the little things in life that sometimes bring us down. I love that a tummy ache can be helped with a simple cup of our Tummy Tamer herbal tea. I love that dry irritated skin can be relieved with something as simple and fun as some of our cocoa and vanilla Cocoa Bella Body Butter. I love that aches and pains and bumps and bruises can be simply soothed with our Arnica Balm. I love seeing the positive difference a few all-natural products can make in everyday life. I love being a part of that.
