…Knitting…
Still working on Jeff’s socks. I finished the first sock and began the second. I did something a little different with them. I didn’t feel like changing the color as I was doing the heel, so kept it blue instead of switching to brown. Then I did brown for the toe and then wondered if that would look a little odd without the brown on the heel as well. But I like them and so does Jeff.
It seems the more socks I knit, the more I love knitting them.

…Reading…
I wanted to learn more about St. Francis of Assisi, so I picked up a book about him at the library. It’s called The Road To Assisi: The Essential Biography of St. Francis. I’m enjoying reading it. There were a few chapters that were challenging to get through with lots of history and some language that I don’t understand, but once it returned to St. Francis it picked up again for me. I admire his spirit, his loving heart, and his good intentions. It’s inspiring to read about him and his story. Now I’d like to read more biographies and autobiographies about people who inspire me. (Unless I’m forgetting something, I believe this is the first biography I’ve ever read, how is that possible?)
