…Knitting…
Still working on Jeff’s socks, so nothing new to report. I was able to knit on the drive on the way to market, a bit throughout the market day, and then on the drive back. Then I got an unexpected knitting opportunity when I went to the DMV to renew my driver’s license and saw there was quite a long line. Jeff and Bracken went to the grocery store while I sat and knitted, waiting my turn. I’m now working on the heel flap for his second sock. Someone sitting next to me asked how many hours it takes me to knit one sock. Good question. I have no idea. These socks have taken me longer than any I’ve ever knit before, I’m using size 5 needles, but it sure makes for some tightly woven socks that I hope will last for a long time.
…Reading…
The library got in a book for me that I requested. It’s called: Greenhorns: 50 Dispatches From The New Farmer’s Movement. I LOVE this book! Right from the beginning I adored it already. Different farmers from different places with different experiences, all coming together and sharing a bit of their story. It’s inspiring, funny, heartwarming, and just plain wonderful. I highly recommend it! It’s light reading and with all the short blurbs from different people, you seem to breeze through the pages so quickly and easily.
How about you? Knitting? Reading?
