Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Bright yellow sunflowers covered in bees.
.
…Being reminded to enjoy the abundant sunshine before the season shifts.
.
…Looking over my shoulder at the kitchen sink and seeing Jeff and Bracken dancing together.
.
…Bracken being so helpful in getting the chickens back in their yard after we came outside to find them all over our garden.
.
…Deciding not to leave for a day away and instead staying home and digging in to all the work I needed to get done, then having a really productive time and feeling really good about it.
.
…Pulling up some plants in the garden that were no longer producing and slowly starting our garden clean up for the season.
.
…For every decision- no matter how small- that just feels right.
.
…Garden abundance and some trades at farmer’s market saving us money on food.
.
…Holding a sleeping Bracken in my arms.
.
…Getting some computer work done during Bracken’s nap so I could spend time with him and be more present when he woke up.
.
…My mom making me laugh so hard on the phone. Humor is one of her gifts and I always need it.
.
…Each time Honey laid an egg and Bracken had the delight of finding it.
.
…A little sunshine poking through on a cloudy day. Enough for us to go outside and bask in it before it disappeared again.
.
…Calling and singing Happy Birthday to our friend on the phone.
.
…How our meals were transformed every time we added some homemade pesto on top.
.
…A sweet message from my sister that filled my heart up and meant so much to me. (And having her and her husband back in the United States again after a wonderful, tropical honeymoon.)
.
…Our friends bringing us a 25 pound watermelon they grew themselves.
