Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Capturing some pictures of a butterfly on a flower at the beach, before it flew away.
.
…Getting extra zucchini from the garden grated and put in the freezer. (Thinking it will be a good addition to soups in the winter.)
.
…A fridge filled with good things.
.
…Bracken’s excitement over flying a kite at the ocean. And that Jeff had the idea to do that.

.
…The peaceful silence at the Redwoods. It was so quiet. As we were leaving, I finally heard a bird singing and it made me realize how very quiet it had been.
.
…Sun coming out. Sheets drying on the line. Bare feet in the grass. Happy chickens.
.
…Going to bed with that wonderful feeling of clean sheets.
.
…Our friend getting her phone fixed. And then having a lovely evening chat with her.
.
…Jeff cleaning out the chimney before winter and cleaning some of the moss off the roof.
.
…The warmth of the wood stove on a cold and rainy day.
.
…Waking up in the night to see the sky light up with lightning while my loves slept quietly next to me.
.
…Bracken putting one of his little hands on each of my cheeks, looking me in the eyes, and saying “Wuv Wee” (Love you) on my birthday.

.
…Birthday cards in the mail. Answering the phone to silly birthday-song singing. Sweet birthday messages. So many people making me feel so loved, it meant a lot.
.
…Deciding not to go to market. I ended up getting a sore throat, congestion, aches, and felt under the weather. It would have been no fun to feel that way in the rain and cold.
.
…Jeff bringing me tea with garden herbs that magically made my throat feel better instantly.
