Our gratefulness feeds one another.

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Bright, colorful nasturtium flowers blooming all over. And putting the flowers and leaves in our salads.
.
…How cute pullet eggs are. And making scrambled eggs with ours.
.
…That Bracken still likes to eat carrots and asks for them regularly (after eating so many he got sick.) I’m glad it didn’t interfere with his love for that sweet orange vegetable.
.
…Having the courage to tell someone that something they said hurt my feelings instead of pretending like it never happened like I’ve often done in the past.
.
…Stretching movements- like a good yoga session- every time I harvested in the garden and maneuvered all sorts of ways around the cucumber jungle.
.
…Pulling up lots of treats for the chickens. Garden clean up = chicken food.
.
…Getting lots of new buttons posted in the shop, including more honeybees that we had ran out of.
.
…Kind blog readers.
.
…Bracken collecting an egg (almost) every day in the nesting box and saying “Thank You Honey!”
.
…Eating good food with good friends.
.
…Jeff moving his beloved jasmine plant on the front porch where we could smell it’s incredible perfume at night. When we opened the door, it filled the whole downstairs with the scent. It felt really magical.
.
…Learning how to do cabling in my knitting! It feels so empowering every time I learn something new in knitting (and just in life in general.)
.
…The peace I feel whenever I go to the library.
.
…Being cozy inside and listening to thunderstorms.
.
…Delicious chicken soup on a rainy day, with garden herbs and garden vegetables.
.
…Plums in the freezer. Fridge cleaned out and filled with fermented goodness.
.
…The sun finally coming out at market yesterday. It was a cold morning, but when the sun came out later it warmed things up and felt like a whole new day.
.
…Fresh blueberries still at Morning Glory Farm. Most blueberries in the area are done now, just a few remaining at market, so we were glad to drive by one of our favorite farms on the way home and get some.
