I’ve been admiring The Burton Bear Cowl on Heidi May’s Etsy shop for a long time. Bracken would like to be a bear for Halloween, so now it’s the perfect time for me to knit this pattern! Bracken’s Bear Hoodie is now in the works. While my mom was visiting we went to a yarn shop and she bought me a skein of super bulky wool yarn to knit this pattern. At first I visualized a honey brown color, but then we saw this brown that was a little bit darker and it seemed like just the color. I love knitting with super bulky yarn and it’s amazing how quickly you make progress! It’s knit from the bottom up.

Progress has been slow on reading the Back Yard Berry Book. I’ve had a hard time staying focused in my reading. I think my brain needs a break from absorbing information. I do want to read it, but I’ll check it out from the library again when the time feels right. I’m in the mood for something lighthearted and inspiring now. (Something to give my brain a break and my creative spirit a boost.)
