Lauren: Greetings… My name is Lauren Luquin. I’m grateful to be here at Wooly Moss Roots blog, to share about my works. Spiral Elixir is a small business that began in 2004 as “VisionWise” and has grown over the years into my full-time job in addition to being a mama to 2, enjoying our version of unschooling / homeschooling in San Diego, CA- with my husband, our dog Shanti, and our turtle Eclipse. I have always been intimately connected to nature and my spirituality, and my artwork and approach to life constantly reflects that. I hold degrees in Sociology, Cross-Cultural Teaching, and Metaphysical Science, and am Certified as a Spiritual Aromatherapist, Reiki Master Teacher, and an Ordained Minister/Practitioner of Metaphysics. I share a lot about my path and my intentions at my website, which can best be described as a place that is “Empowering the Spiritual Alchemist’s Inner Journey – Honoring the Awareness of Universal Consciousness”… My writing and products are all offerings from my heart and soul… I write about what is true to me, and create what I would use for myself and my family. This means that I use sustainable, organic, and recycled materials as often as possible, support other indy and local businesses and give back to my community. I feel so inspired by the people who cross paths with me, and am always learning…

Lauren: When I was a child I knew I was empathic and aware of things a lot of other people didn’t seem to notice. I always felt a little bit distant from my peers, but in a caring and observant way. From the time I could form thoughts and express myself I would speak to nature spirits, animals, plants, and trees, etc. I learned about myself by relating my feelings and ideas to patterns I saw in nature. This foundation gave me strength when I had to endure challenging times throughout my life, which all taught me how to be compassionate toward others and myself. During college I imagined myself teaching children and ended up getting a Masters degree in Education, but after working in the schools I realized how intense it was for me, emotionally, and that my true passion was creating art, being with my own children at home, and living a healthy life style that would inspire me to assist others as they awaken to their path and/or heal in holistic ways. Everything that has caused me pain, suffering, or confusion, has also taught me and motivated me to understand more deeply what it takes to overcome these things, and by doing so, I have been able to share what I know with others who may relate or have trouble seeing through the fog during hard times. I seem to attract amazing people into my life, and am always open to what each day brings. Spiral Elixir is my contribution to the world and it will constantly be evolving as I do.
