Short and sweet YarnAlong today because I don’t have much to report. I’ve made some progress on Bracken’s sweater since last week. It didn’t feel like much progress to me, but after looking at the picture from last week, I got more done than I realized. This sweater is growing! I’m following the directions, but I have no clue what I’m doing. I’m so curious to see how this is going to become a sweater. Today the sun came out and I loved how golden the wheat colorway looked in the light that was shining in.

Still reading ‘Seven Times The Sun.’ It’s pretty quick and light reading, which is nice. After reading the morning chapter, I started singing a morning song with Bracken every day when we woke up. But then I’ve been forgetting. I haven’t made it a habit yet. After reading the mealtime chapter, I’d like to start singing a blessing before meals, which is something we only do sporadically around here. There are so many songs in the book and I want to learn how to read sheet music again. A recorder was recommended when I mentioned that recently. I never thought I’d want a recorder in my life again, after blaring it loudly in the fourth grade until I was tired of the thing, but I do think it would help me so I could learn the tunes to songs.
