This week, rather than sharing my works-in-progress (Knitting: Bracken’s Coat, Reading: Seven Times The Sun) that I shared the past two weeks, I thought I would share what my works in progress are about to be. A package arrived this week, one I’ve been anticipating with much knitting excitement. 

My mom told me that she would like to hire me to knit some holiday gifts for her this year, saying she would rather pay me to make something special and have the money go to our family, than go buy something somewhere. Getting paid to knit? Well that just sounds like a dream come true to me! She asked where to purchase yarn for the projects and I suggested Quince & Co. I have not yet had the pleasure of knitting with Quince & Co. yarns and I am eager to get started. I’ve never had so much yarn right at my fingertips before and it feels like such a treat, I can’t even begin to say! You’ll be sure to see me with knitting needles in my hands even more than usual this season and that makes me very happy.
