These pictures (that I took while we still had snow) don’t have much to do with this post, but I wanted to share a creative project I made recently that brought a lot of satisfaction. When my mom heard how much fun I was having making things out of felted sweaters, she passed along a red turtleneck cashmere sweater that she hadn’t worn for years. I felted it and created the first of many projects that I’ll make with it. The first project was this little toddler hat. I named it The Holly Jolly Hat. I sewed it by hand and then added a wool holly design on the front. I brought it to market last weekend and a fellow booth vendor fell in love with it and gave it a home before I even hung it up for sale, it was wonderful. When I have some time after the holidays and can get my sewing machine in working order, I’d love to make lots of these little hats. They are so fun to make.
Anyway, back to what I was originally writing this post about. Our final four days of Holiday Market are coming up: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. We’ll be there from 10 – 6 (except Tuesday, which closes at 4) in booth 216. We’ve been preparing all week to get ready for these last four days.
Come say hello if you visit the market, we’d love to see you!
