As soon as lovely Amanda mentioned that she was working on a bear knitting pattern, I knew I was going to knit one for Bracken. Once upon a time Bracken asked his dada to tell him a story and it ended up being a story about a bear. Now not a day goes by when Bracken doesn’t ask for his “bear story.” It’s become so important to him. That’s why I thought he would be so excited about being a bear for Halloween, which he was, and why I knit that little bear hoodie for him. As I watched the progress on Amanda’s pattern, I couldn’t wait to knit a little bear friend for Bracken!
But then, what was really the icing on the cake was that Amanda ended up finishing her bear pattern with a little heart button by Wooly Moss Roots! She sent me an e-mail and I was so excited I wanted to squeal (but I was sick at the time, so I didn’t actually squeal, but her e-mail really brightened my day.) I told her I wanted to share about her pattern with you here and she gave me permission to post these gorgeous pictures she took. Oh yes, and the name of her new pattern is Brambles Bear. Are you as in love with these little bears as I am? They’re simply adorable and look so inviting to cuddle up with.
You can also connect with Amanda on her blog: Little Labyrinth and on Facebook.
Yesterday I printed out the pattern and ordered my yarn for it. It’s inspiring me to get my other knitting projects finished so I can get started on the little bear!
