View out our living room window yesterday morning.
Garlic under snow.
Blueberry bushes.
Our favorite huckleberry bush, next to the house.
Snowy gnome.
Catching snowflakes.
Jeff shoveling snow off the porch roof. (A flat roof that doesn’t like much weight.)
The chicken coop, and their new yard below.
We are snowed in this weekend! (It doesn’t take all that much snow to snow us in here.) It’s pretty fun being snowed in (when it doesn’t last long, that is.) Last night the electricity went out for a few hours. We were really nervous about our pipes freezing because we couldn’t leave the water running overnight. Right as we were turning out our flashlights to go to sleep, the electricity came back on. We were really grateful. We’ve been keeping the fire stoked and have been wearing wool often. The snow makes everything so quiet outside. Except for the branches and trees that you hear crack and break from time to time. They aren’t used to all that snow. I love looking at the mountainside across the river, all covered in snow. It makes it feel officially like winter.
