…Breaks in the rain and glimpses of blue skies and sunshine.
.
…Excitement over new blooming things.
.
…Getting over a gallon of sauerkraut in jars and in the fridge. Then making another batch in the crock. (Since it won’t take as long as you’d think to eat up a gallon!)
.
…Jeff making an incredible dessert- turning frozen bananas and blueberries into an ice cream consistency with our juicing machine.
.
…Going outside with Bracken while he cut chives to harvest with his very own little scissors. Before, he just grabbed handfuls, but now he thinks scissors are much more fun.
.
…Marveling at colorful chicken eggs as we carried them inside.
.
…My heart feeling happy when I give handmade gifts.
.
…Singing with others. (Even when I forget the words.)
.
…Stopping by a nursery I’d been wanting to visit for a long time, and coming home with garlic chives to plant in the garden.
.
…Our neighbor bringing us some redwood branches from their tree that fell over, knowing that Jeff would surely create many things with them.
.
…Jeff ironing all the fabric for making fabric buttons for me while I was busy with other tasks.
.
…Grandma Julie telling Bracken stories over the phone, per his request.
.
…Lamb and garlic. Especially delicious together that night.
.
…Jeff’s dentist appointment going really well. No cavities, gums look great. Just three old fillings that needed to be replaced. He was very happy with that news.
.
…Two little treasures from the thrift store for Bracken. A tiny copper teapot for his wooden play kitchen and his very own timer (since he loves the one in our kitchen so much and Jeff thought he’d like to have his own.)
.
…Self restraint and not buying a few things that we wanted (and could have very much used) during the huge sale at the tool store because we didn’t really have the money for them. Better to wait and appreciate them more when we finally get them.
.
…The sound of birds singing.
.
…Lighting a candle at the end of the day, rocking Bracken in the rocking chair, and telling stories by the fire.
