Phew. It’s been so busy around here. I’m finally sitting for a moment to catch my breath. Appointments, errands, and plans seemed to happen all at once and we were scrambling to catch up whenever we were home. I didn’t visit this space as often either and I always miss it, even if I’m just away for a bit. I have random pictures from the last few weeks, that I didn’t get a chance to post. So today, a random post of pictures. Some with captions, some just speaking for themselves. And of course flowers. It’s spring and I always want to take pictures of flowers. I love seeing the yard come alive again.
The slugs have been eating them, but they’re still beautiful.
We had a single crocus come up in the yard this year. We waited for more. None came.
We want to plant many more. They are a joy every spring.
Garlic chives (right before being planted in the ground.)
Lemon balm is coming back full force and taking over everything in the garden.
Bracken wants to be outside all the time, as always. Especially when the sun is shining.
We went to a friend’s and did some seed swappin’. It was a wonderful blessing, making it so we won’t need to purchase as many seeds this year. We all were excited and happy with our new seeds.
Walking around outside while Jeff had his eye appointment to get his eyes checked. (Same prescription.)
Bringing me pinecone gifts.
And going back to get more.
Delighting over teensy tiny flowers.
Walks with friends.
A favorite activity when little friends visit: climbing the blue ladder and gathering eggs in the nesting boxes.
(Some other friends enjoying that very thing last month.)
Finding the first dandelion in the yard.
Jeff bringing us for a special (and rare) treat while we were in town. Smoothies! (Rare because Bracken can only handle so much fruit at once, even when we share, and wants to guzzle the entire thing in a flash.)
Jeff declared it was the best smoothie ever. With fruit, coconut milk, and some added coconut oil. Yum.
Back home again, in the garden. Sand & water. Bracken told me he was making a stew for the chickens.
.
And now we have a little stretch of home time to dive into work (and get caught up on laundry!)
Wishing you a wonderful Saturday, friends!
