…Strawberry flowers that make a little boy so happy every time he sees them.
.
…My hands smelling like lemonbalm (mmm…) after picking some for the chickens. They’ve been loving it lately. (I might add our chickens before didn’t like it.)
.
…Jeff waking up in the middle of the night, realizing we forgot to close the door to the chicken coop, and going out to close it.
.
…A husband to wake me up on days I need it, instead of an alarm clock. (I likely would have kept sleeping and been late if it wasn’t for him.)
.
…Watching Bracken put a plum pit and some apple cores in the ground and then asking me to fill his little bucket up with the hose so he could water them. (Telling me he was planting plums and apples.)
.
…Returning books to the library, renewing books, and picking out a few for Bracken.
.
…One hour of time to myself, while the boys were upstairs, to get some major cleaning done downstairs. It was much-needed and felt so good to do. (And I loved to surprise them when they came down.)
.
…Being able to think more clearly, focus, and accomplish my tasks with a cleaner house.
.
…A break on a rainy morning to play dress up with Bracken.
.
…Reading a book to my mom over the phone, per Bracken’s request, while she was in bed with a cold. (It was a favorite that she used to read to me and it made her laugh.)
.
…Turning on the music and Bracken being content dancing with his play silk while I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen.
.
…Finding a bag of ginger powder on the back of a shelf, that we didn’t know we had. (Right when I was making tea and craving it too.)
.
…A big bag of books passed along to us for Bracken, delivered to our market booth as a sweet surprise. (Thanks Theresa!)
.
…Free lamb soup bones with a purchase from the Deck Family Farm booth at farmer’s market. (What a great deal they had going yesterday!)
.
…A belated handmade Easter basket, created for Bracken, by a friend. With eggs, a bird, and a butterfly, he was delighted and showed it all over market.
.
…Fresh strawberries from farmer’s market. Our first taste of them of the season. They were delicious.
.
…A trade for greens, greens, greens, which we’ve been craving so much lately.
.
…The incredible music one guy on the corner, at market, made with a couple of wooden drumsticks, some plastic buckets, a cooking pan, and a cymbal. That beat just made you want to move and dance.
.
…Bringing my knitting along even though I didn’t think I’d have a chance to do it. And then actually making a bit of progress.
.
…Getting through a market day where I was tired, still stuffy, and crampy (and really wanted to be at home in my pajamas.) Even with low energy, there were many bright points in the day.
