…Getting these pictures of the irises blooming, just in time before they faded away. (And my uncle telling me how much my grandmother loved irises as we looked at the yellow ones in the yard while he was visiting.)
.
…Seeing the baby robins before they left the nest. We got to see one on the edge of the nest, then move to a nearby branch, before it flew away.
.
…Planting another raspberry in the ground. An ever-bearing variety, so we’ll be able to enjoy them in the spring and fall.
.
…Seeing something I wanted on sale at the grocery store.
.
…Our first ripe strawberries in the garden this year.
.
…Jeff putting a new light fixture up in the kitchen (that he happened to have when the old one broke, so it didn’t cost us a thing) and being able to see so much better in there with more light.
.
…An especially delicious juice with: cucumber, cilantro, nettles, celery, ginger, carrot, beet, apple, and lemon.
.
…Getting more seeds planted in the garden. More lettuce, kale, basil, calendula and cilantro. Plus green zucchini, yellow summer squash, three varieties of winter squash, pumpkin, and butterflyweed.
.
…Making nourishing meals for my loves. (I mention this one often, but it really does make my heart happy.)
.
…Hearing from my mom while she was on vacation, when I wasn’t expecting her call and reception had been spotty. It was such a happy surprise.
.
…Bracken discovering a huckleberry bush, in a convenient location, covered in ready-to-eat red huckleberries.
.
…Jeff figuring out how to make my pdfs clear and not blurry. He came to my rescue once again.
.
…Gazing upon a sleeping Bracken in his dad’s huge t-shirt. Sweetness.
.
…Singing ‘Good Morning Merry Sunshine’ to wake Bracken up one morning (like my mom did for me) and hearing him say in his sleepy voice: “Good Morning Mommy Sunshine.”
.
…Eating the first cherries of the season at the farmer’s market. They were really good.
.
…Trading with a seamstress friend for three new pairs of pants for Bracken, which were really needed since he’s been growing so tall and growing out of all of his.
.
…Walking back to the booth from farmer’s market and surprising Jeff with an elderberry plant for the garden.
.
…The internet back up and running at our place! (Thus this post a day late. If you did a Gratitude Sunday post yesterday, please add it to the link-up below for today.)
