…Joining Ginny’s YarnAlong, sharing what I’m knitting and reading…
I finished Bracken’s blueberry blue sweater just in time for his birthday. It took me a little over a month to knit. The beautiful buttons (thanks Jeff!) are in hemlock wood from our yard. I didn’t block his sweater, I was so excited to see it on him (I may or may not do that at some point, though it could make it bigger and let him wear it longer.) These pictures were taken in our yard and garden and on the playground. I took so many pictures (you should have seen how many before I narrowed it down to these.) I love this pattern and think the sweater turned out adorable. You can find my Ravelry notes here (with the pattern, yarn, etc.) And thanks to Bracken for letting me follow him around to take pictures of him in his new mama made sweater, to which he proudly points and exclaims “blueberry blue!”
How about you? Knitting? Reading?

Great Job! So so cute on him, love it ๐
I’m waiting for you to shame me / inspire me and make yourself a sweater, I have only ever made myself one and it was not much of a sweater ๐

I have yet to make myself a sweater, but I have so many patterns I’m in love with. ๐ Maybe you’ll be the one to inspire me to make myself a sweater. ๐

What a cute pattern! I love hoods, and as always, your buttons are beautiful!

The sweater is just gorgeous. Love that color. Was the hood hard to do? I’ve never knitted anything with a hood and feel it is would be too hard for a beginner like me.
tarynkae says
Hi Victoria,
The hood was not hard to do at all. You could totally do it! If you have any questions should you decide to knit the pattern, you are always welcome to ask me.
Love,
Taryn
