…Knitting…
How many YarnAlongs in a row have I shown you this “blueberry blue” yarn? Quite a few. Bear with me, I’m working with the last skein. I’ve been having a heck of a time with this hat. I’ve ripped it back and started over after the ribbing part probably three times by now. Even though the pattern required just a bit of concentration I kept messing up on it whenever I tried to knit it amidst daily life. I took some quiet moments during one of Bracken’s naps to get it going again and this time I’m making good progress and the pattern is flowing smoothly. Bracken’s hat is on the way. I adore the pattern and can’t wait to see how it turns out.
…Reading…
I’m reading the book ‘Protecting the Gift: Keeping Children and Teenagers Safe (and Parents Sane)’ by Gavin de Becker. Our library borrowed it for me from another library. He is the same author that wrote ‘The Gift of Fear’ that I recommended here recently (and that Oprah Winfrey said every woman in America should read.) I would also highly recommend this second book by him. (Thanks to you readers who recommended it to me!) It talks about a lot of tough issues that are so important. The information he shares is extremely helpful for keeping our children safe in today’s world.
How about you? Knitting? Reading?
P.S. Thank you so much for all your kind comments on yesterday’s post! I appreciate them so much and also you sharing your experiences with me.
P.P.S. There’s still time to enter the LilaKids giveaway and win a custom made snack bag set, pencil/crochet hook roll, or a zipper clutch!
