It’s funny how happy vacuuming out the car makes me. And I know I’ve written about that here before. When life is particularly stressful, unorganized, or messy, I find it so therapeutic to vacuum out the car. (Times like lately. Times when I have long lists filled with things to do after the holidays since the holiday season is just too busy for us to do those things.) Having just one little part of my life that feels cleaner, more together, more organized, is satisfying to me. I’ve been wanting to vacuum out our car for awhile now, but then earlier this week I hauled some straw in the back and that gave me the incentive, since I didn’t want straw bits all over our market stuff we need to pack in the car for this weekend. Bracken loves to help me vacuum. I always vow to keep the car cleaner after a trip there. Then somehow things accumulate and I find tangerine peels in the door handles and you know how it goes. We bought our car used, it’s old, it’s stained, it doesn’t need to look the least bit sparkling for me to be pleased. Just vacuumed, that’s enough for me. It costs a dollar for each vacuuming “session.” And it usually takes three to get the back, middle, and front vacuumed up. Need a little peace and calm amidst the whirl of activity? Only three dollars for such wonderful therapy, I highly recommend it!
