…Knitting…
Remember when I wrote about Brambles Bear here? I can’t believe it’s taken me this long, but I’m finally knitting up that adorable bear. I’ve finished the head and stuffed it with wool and some lavender buds (it makes it smell so good.) Now I’m knitting the body and I’m at the part where I start the legs. I’m working to get it done for Bracken for Christmas. Whenever I work on it he asks me what I’m making. I smile and say it’s a surprise. He’s been guessing a doll hat or a ball (since he saw the finished head. He and his friend actually helped me card the wool and stuff the head with wool and lavender last week during one of their play dates. I love how much they enjoy helping me with projects!)
…Reading…
I saw a book at the library called ‘Sewing for Children: 35 step-by-step projects to help kids aged 3 and up learn to sew’ by Emma Hardy. I brought it home, looking forward to some ideas. Bracken and I had fun flipping through it together and of course he wants to make everything in the book! Every time I use my sewing machine he is mesmerized. And I just got him his very own tapestry needles (since he was always taking mine out of my knitting bag and losing them) for doing some embroidery projects. After our market season wraps up, we’ll be ready for some crafting!
How about you?
