I’m working on two knitting projects for Bracken for Christmas. The one above (his owl vest) I cast off after I took this picture on our car ride yesterday. I wove in the ends. Now I’m going to wash it and sew on the buttons for the owl eyes. I’m so happy I have one of his gifts almost finished! (Especially with how long it’s taken me to get this particular project done since it kept getting set aside every time the owl didn’t turn out right on the front.)

As for reading, I’ve been making slow progress on Paleo Magazine. When my sister and I were little and went to the grocery store with my mom, she would sometimes let us each pick out a magazine. It felt like such a special treat and we loved that. When my mom came out to visit for Bracken’s birthday, we went to the grocery store and she said to me “do you want to pick out a magazine?” and I smiled. I found Paleo Magazine on the shelf and picked it. I’ve been enjoying the articles, it has lots of interesting information in it.
