Every now and then, maybe once or twice a year, we make a trip to the laundromat and wash a bunch of laundry all at once. Yesterday I needed to make one of those trips and gathered up all the washable rugs in the house, the rags, and everything else I could find. A friend also needed to go so we arranged a laundromat meet up. The boys played and we got a lot accomplished. I don’t think I’ve ever had such an enjoyable time going to the laundromat before. (Yet I’m glad we hardly ever go, yikes those quarters add up quick!)
While our loads of laundry were in the dryer, we drove over to the nearby park. Bracken was gifted a balance bike for his birthday and the plan all along has been to bring him to the park to ride on it. He’s rode it in the house and around the yard a bit, but a big area of pavement would be much more conducive to riding. Yesterday we had the skate park all to ourselves and it was a great place to run, play, and then ride some bikes. Bracken still is a little reluctant about his balance bike, but he’ll get the hang of it. And looking at these pictures, I see I need to bring the seat up a bit more. The weather was amazing in the coastal town we played at. Warm, sunny, hardly any wind. We even took off our coats. Perfect for a day of riding bikes in the park! And at the end of it all, I came home with a car full of clean laundry to boot.
I remember the thrill of riding my bike without training wheels for the first time! What FUN for Bracken and his friend!
Looks like such a fun time!
Looks like a great afternoon! Bracken looks like he had a wonderful time!
