Guess what we saw the other day in the garden? A lizard! (I guess the title and picture did give it away.) We’ve seen it twice now. We’ve seen lizards more often at our place the last few years, but this is definitely the first time we’ve ever seen a lizard in March! Usually we don’t see them until the heat of summer. I zoomed in with my camera to get this shot before the little lizard scurried away. Now on sunny, warm days we look for it and when I asked Bracken what we should name our lizard he said “warm day lizard” and that made me smile.
Looks like the plated lizard my family used to have. He was such a sweetie. I love lizards, wish I could see more up here in Canada. When I went to Cuba I loved seeing all the little lizards running around.
I love lizards, they are so cool! I wish I had some in my yard.
May “Warm Day Lizard” have many babies, they are a real blessing to have around, very earthy! When I was little we found some eggs as my mother was moving bricks from the garden, so we took them to school, incubated them, then watched the babies hatch, and release them back. Maybe that’s where my love of lizards came from, we now have a blue tongue in our garden and many living up in the eaves of our roof! With love Sita
EEEEK! Nice photo though!
