…Knitting…
Remember that abalone cardigan I was working on? I ran out of yarn and luckily the sweet gal who spun the yarn made me more to match! Timbre was at the Black Sheep Gathering and brought the yarn for me. This was a unique blend, but she did an amazing job of matching it. It has hues of brown, grey, and white. I think it’s beautiful.
…Reading…
Though I’ve hardly been reading at all lately, I am slowly making my way through Taproot magazine. (Issue 13: Song.) I’ve passed the article in the picture above (which I enjoyed), but I find myself going back to that picture because it makes me smile. How wonderful is that title, by the way? ‘Singing Ourselves Alive.’ That’s exactly what singing does for us, I believe.
How about you? Knitting? Reading?
P.S. Thank you to Susan B. Anderson for mentioning our buttons on her Podcast and blog! You can see the gorgeous ambrosia cardigan she knit with WoolyMossRoots toggle buttons in this post. (And we’ve had requests for more of that kind, they are on the way.)
Such gorgeous yarn. x
Taproot is my favorite magazine. I’m enjoying the wild harvesting in the current issue. Like Kris, I’ve subscribed from the beginning and wouldn’t miss an issue. I’m not knitting anything right now. I have seven skeins of beautiful hand spun I don’t feel qualified to use. They’re so beautiful and I’m such an amateur. I will wait to choose my project (leaning toward mittens) until I visit my daughter and have her help.
the yarn is lovely. <3
I love this magazine. I’ve gotten it from the very start and can’t imagine not having it. I love the colorful drawings and just everything about it.
And that yarn is so pretty. What are you making? I have got to learn to knit a sweater. That cardigan is amazing. And your buttons of course just set it off great.
I’m knitting a short sleeve cardigan. I want something to photograph our shawl pins on, but I’ll also have the bonus of getting to wear it. 🙂
