{Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The cosmos flowers blooming around the garden. Jeff planted them and it’s the first time we’ve had them in the garden. They add such a bright spot of color.
.
…Bracken flipping through one of our picture books and telling me the story. I was smiling the whole time.
.
…Eating something from the garden every day.
.
…Trying jostaberries at the farmer’s market for the first time. They were different. Always like trying something new, especially a new kind of berry.
.
…People wanting and appreciating our eggs. I’m getting a regular egg route now.
.
…A good deal on raspberries so we could get some put away in the freezer this year. (Maybe eventually our raspberry patch will produce enough to do that. For now we get enough for snacking on them in the garden, which we’re really enjoying.)
.
…Dropping more boxes off at the thrift store. Feels. So. Good.
.
…A spontaneous decision to go to the ocean with friends. Hadn’t been there since the winter and dipping our feet in the ocean and breathing that fresh ocean air was exactly what we all needed.
.
…Good friends. Good talks.
.
…Tying buttons on cards for the shop, such a peaceful way to spend an evening.
.
…Friends bringing a croquet set over and setting it up in the yard. What fun!
.
…Early morning inspired writing. My favorite time of day, when all is so quiet (other than the rooster.)
.
…Bracken squeezing some lemon juice over the top of my blueberries. If he had asked I probably would have said no, but I’m so glad that didn’t happen so I could discover just how incredibly divine that combination tasted.
.
…Having our seven year wedding anniversary yesterday. We celebrated with an incredible meal Jeff made last night, before we were all too tired to stay awake any longer after our long market day.
