…Joining Ginny’s YarnAlong, sharing what I’m knitting and reading…
I finished knitting the hat for my sister. Even though her birthday is still a ways off, I wanted to get this project finished before working on my others because I borrowed knitting needles from a friend to make the Hermione hat for myself and for my sister, and wanted to get them returned to her. It does feel good getting projects done ahead of time.
After blueberry picking, I pulled out our two favorite blueberry books to read to Bracken. Our first favorite is ‘Peter In Blueberry Land’ by Elsa Beskow and our next favorite is ‘Blueberries For Sal’ by Robert McCloskey. Elsa Beskow’s book was recommended to us from a few sources, who knew how much Bracken loves blueberries, and the other book was a gift when he was a baby, so we’ve read it many times.
P.S. After I cast off and wove in the ends last night, Bracken asked if he could try on his Aunt Sam’s hat, so today I took a few pictures. He says he wants one now too.
P.P.S. Edited to add: Since I write about their yarn so often when it comes to my knitting, I nearly forgot to mention that the beautiful grey yarn I knit the hat with is from Timberwolf Farm.

My boys loved these books when they were young. Our wild blueberries are just about to ripen and they are so good to snack on during our walks through the woods.
Your hat turned out beautiful, too. The yarn looks like it’s a dream to work with.

Oh, I so loved reading those books to my son when he was little. Although, he was always worried in Blueberries for Sal that she wouldn’t find her mother, but happily she does. Your hat looks great. It will make a wonderful gift.

Before I read the last line I thought, “Bracken’s going to want one of these hats for himself”. ;^) I’m sure your sister will love it.
